You're missing the point. Of course street smarts have everything to do with not getting busted or scammed. But my point is YOU have no credibility here. For example if @MassyMan makes a point about the street scene it has cred because he posts constantly on the LI street scene. It's obvious he has been around given his contributions on where to find girls.
